Rustin and Sally were both single parents to 2, two year olds when they met back in 2012. She had a son and he had a daughter. Together they raised them and formed a very loving blended family. After 4 years of dating, they tied the knot and got married. As much as they loved their family just the way it was, they dreamt of having a baby of their own together. After the wedding, they tried for five straight years to conceive. With no luck and no positive pregnancy test, they decided to look into fertility treatments. Rustin and Sally went down their doctor’s check list of tests to see if they could identify what was holding them back from getting pregnant. According to all of their test results, they were categorized as “unexplained infertility.” At their age of 31 & 33 years old, they were told it shouldn’t have taken them this long to get pregnant.
With years flying by, they didn’t want to wait any longer. They started off with 6 months of Clomid. Without any luck, they then moved onto IVF treatment. They had the pleasure of working with Dr. John Frattarelli. From 28 eggs retrieved, 23 matured, 21 fertilized, 12 biopsied and they ended with 5 “normal” beautiful embryos. They transferred their healthiest and highest grade embryo who successfully “stuck.” Baby boy Sonny was born on 11/30/2022, as happy and healthy as ever, truly completing his family.
“Our baby Sonny is so loved already and our entire family welcomed him with open arms.”
