Mom Jin and husband Ian had three miscarriages before naturally and surprisingly getting pregnant with their son, who is now three years old. The couple always knew they wanted to have another child but that it would be a challenge to have a second baby. However, they didn’t realize they would need the help of IVF to do so, and that is where their journey with the Fertility Institute of Hawaii began. Out of nine eggs retrieved, they had one embryo to transfer. That one little embryo would soon become known as Hana, (하나), which means one in Korean.
