Mom Jillianne and her husband started trying for a baby in 2013. The couple moved to Hawaii in 2016 so that Jillianne could finish her BA degree and then sought the help of a fertility specialist in 2017. Jillianne was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and subsequently had to have her right fallopian tube removed. This made their journey to conceive even longer, as they could only try to do so when her left ovary was ovulating. After several failed clomid attempts, the couple ended up moving on to IVF treatment, under the guidance of Dr. Frattarelli.
IVF was successful on the very first try. Little James Melville Hutchison IV, or “Melly” for short, was born on November 20, 2019 as happy and healthy as ever. “We have four embryos left and look forward to watching our family grow here in Hawaii.”
